WOW!!!!!

After a week of not seeing my baby, Yikes!!!!! I got to the barn around 6:45p and he was way down munching. SHOCKER! I called him and he said, "hmmf" and kept eating. So I stood at the top of the pasture and talked to the herd.

Well of course curiosity got the best of him. He slauntered up to see me. He was on Hyperalert! I could tell. I took it easy he followed to the gate and was very willing. I left the halter on the mounting block so I just had my Savvy string. I put it around his neck and led him out for some munching.

There were many people at the barn. There were several riding in and out of the front arena, one in the indoor arena and the horses in the pasture were a bit vocal. The weather was prime.

Well, Jiggies spooked and that was all it took. He was a RB mover for about 20 minutes. Within that time every person outside was stopped in their tracks watching the spectical. He was really spectacular! He was running balls out around the outside of his pasture so much so that every horse in the pasture was running balls out with him. It was wild!

eeeeeeeeeeekkkk! "I can't get in guys!!!!!! Something out here is going to get me!!!"

He ran and ran. Then he stopped to munch. At that point several people came back to ask if I needed help getting him. I said no, he is just RB he needs to run it off. He was awesome tho. Someone blocked off the entrance to the back and I grabbed the gate he had gone thru earlier and closed it. I just let him run it out. As he stopped I played the "I'm gonna get your hiney" game and off he'd go.

Then the owners sister came back and had told her I may need some help. I explained he was just goofy. She watched him and commented he looked awesome. He floated at times. She was amazed. I thought, how the heck can this horse now having run for almost 45 minutes, one, keep going and keep going with that belly he has!!!

Finally, he stopped to graze and I went over stuck my hand out and he must have decided he had enough. I haltered him and off we went. He was all over me though most of the night. Bugs were thick and he was itchy. We did alot of circling game and falling leaf backwards. Friendly game and hide the hiney.

I will try again Thursday. Whew! The work out for me was actually standing there watching him!!! But he had to get it out! Wonder what Pat would have said to that!!?

About Me

My photo
Genoa, Illinois, United States
I am a southern girl who moved north right out of highschool. Born and raised in Fla, couldn't take the intense heat. I moved to Massachussetts and loved New England. From there I moved to the Midwest when my boys were small. Here I have made a great life with my special boys. I have a great job, friends and as of a few years ago a terrific husband. I love life. My boys are grown now and off in college. It is a quiet satisfaction that these boys helped me thru some hard times and they are well rounded happy adults. I am truely blessed. I also have an extensive pet list! I love animals as well! I bought my boy in 2000 after I was laid off at my job. Best thing I ever did! I have been working Parelli with him since about 2001 but more dilligently in the last 6 months. He introduced me to the wonderful world of oils when he split his back hoof almost off! I now work holistic with all my animals. I am a Reiki Master Teacher (energetic healing) and work with some herbs as well for whole health of the animal (and humans)! It is truely a fabulous journey he is taking me on...
