52 degrees! Playtime!!!

What a beautiful day! Not to windy either! A little muddy but that's ok. Not bad. For three hours Jiggies and I played! First I went down to greet Jiggies who was happily munching with the herd on some fresh hay! He seemed a little intrigued but not totally. I just decided to talk to some of the herd, well that got him interested. Soon enough he was following me up to the arena! We haltered up and I decided a bit of play, brushing and munching was in order! Boy is the hair flying off!! I found itchy spots and some hairless spots covered in mud of course.

After beautifying we went into the arena for some ground play. We did the circle, sideways (still working on that) the yo-yo, friendly from zone 1 and 5! Jiggies did great! The circle is really coming together! We then did some porcupine and driving. What fun! We also worked with touch the hose to it! I bought him a hula hoop that ended up in his mouth of course! A sacraficial item! We are still working on the mounting. He continues to go back when I lean on him. So we either go back or pull forward. He'll get it! After an hour of playing we decided a walk would be nice to work out the mud in the hooves. His hooves look great. Ready for a trim though. Went up front of the farm and he investigated numerous items. He had fun. We then went back to the arena area and he munched his herbs. A bit more of the loving game and out he went to frolic and munch! When I left the hands were dropping more hay! Yikes...what a smorgousboard! See you later buddy. I love you.

About Me

My photo
Genoa, Illinois, United States
I am a southern girl who moved north right out of highschool. Born and raised in Fla, couldn't take the intense heat. I moved to Massachussetts and loved New England. From there I moved to the Midwest when my boys were small. Here I have made a great life with my special boys. I have a great job, friends and as of a few years ago a terrific husband. I love life. My boys are grown now and off in college. It is a quiet satisfaction that these boys helped me thru some hard times and they are well rounded happy adults. I am truely blessed. I also have an extensive pet list! I love animals as well! I bought my boy in 2000 after I was laid off at my job. Best thing I ever did! I have been working Parelli with him since about 2001 but more dilligently in the last 6 months. He introduced me to the wonderful world of oils when he split his back hoof almost off! I now work holistic with all my animals. I am a Reiki Master Teacher (energetic healing) and work with some herbs as well for whole health of the animal (and humans)! It is truely a fabulous journey he is taking me on...
